Debbie is a warm, experienced counsellor who has been practising since 2012. Her counselling journey began in a women’s refuge, where she supported survivors of domestic abuse through complex emotional challenges. This formative experience shaped her deep commitment to building strong, trusting relationships with clients.

Before training as a counsellor, Debbie worked as a primary school teacher for 30 years. During that time, she developed a specialist role in supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, using therapeutic approaches such as play and LEGO-based therapy. Her work in schools focused on areas including anger management, emotional regulation, and communication, always providing children with a safe space to express themselves without judgement.

In addition to her private practice, Debbie has worked with clients ranging in age from 3 to 60. She uses an integrative approach, tailoring her work to meet the unique needs of each individual. Calm, friendly, and compassionate, Debbie believes everyone deserves to be heard, valued, and empowered. She finds great joy in helping clients build confidence, self-worth, and resilience.
