A Bit About Me
Claire is an Integrative Counsellor who offers a non-judgmental, safe, and uniquely client-centred experience for those seeking support on their counselling journey. Her approach is grounded in building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship—one where clients feel able to explore all emotions, including those that may be uncomfortable or difficult. She believes this process fosters deeper self-understanding and greater compassion for oneself.
Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, Claire tailors her sessions to meet the individual needs of each client. Her integrative approach blends person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural techniques (CBT), and creative therapies, allowing her to adapt fluidly depending on what each session requires. She firmly believes that each person is the expert in their own life, and her role is to support and guide rather than direct.
Claire has a particular passion for working creatively with clients, especially when words may not be enough to express what’s going on internally. Through the use of creative tools and techniques, she helps clients access and explore deeper parts of themselves in a safe and supported way.
She works with both adults and young people aged 16 and over, offering both open-ended counselling and time-limited support, depending on the client’s needs and preferences.
Clients seek Claire’s support for a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to):
• Depression
• Anxiety and stress
• Low self-esteem
• Grief, loss, and bereavement
• Trauma and post-traumatic stress
• Issues relating to sexuality and identity
• Bullying
• Relationship challenges
Claire provides a warm, respectful, and collaborative space where clients can begin to make sense of their experiences and move forward at their own pace.
